Beaching!!!!

The warm, golden sand runs between your toes with the gentle breeze. As you walk along, you find gorgeous, shiny shells that have been washed into the shore by the rippling of the water. The beach :- A PERFECT place to visit.

A good friend of mine introduced me to the Atlantic Bay Resort.

A serene seaside space for those who demand genuine luxury and the utmost in privacy, Atlantic Bay Resort – the perfect retreat in the Greater Accra Region.

Poolside

Located in Prampram, a few minutes away from the Central University, this incredible resort offers private African style rondovels for its guests to unwind and enjoy a home away from home.

The customer service was topnotch with staff always greeting customers with bright smiles.

The clean beach and stunning views had me wanting to stay longer.

I’m not a major foodie but the fried rice and grilled chicken had me bagging leftovers. It was a lot of food and worth the price. They serve continental and local dishes as well so enjoy the variety.

Go! Enjoy some sun, great food and the cool ocean breeze alone or with your squad.

Sunset captured by me

P. S. Be sure to stop by on a Friday. You get to dance to the tune of captivating african live music and step it up with rich local brewed wine and khebab. You won’t regret it 😉

NB: To the animal lovers out there, no pets allowed.

AKPLE AND OKRO SOUP

Akple is a kind of Ghanaian dish which consists of corn flour, cassava dough, water, and salt. Thus, it is made from milled corn flour mixed with cassava dough.

Akple and okro soup is the traditional food of the Ewe community in Ghana and Togo.

Akple is often served with okro soup known as ‘fetri detsi’ in the Ewe language. The okro soup can be made without palm oil or with palm oil.

FOOD LOVERS!!!!!!!

Are you looking for something that will woo your tastebuds yet affordable? Then Citrus lounge and restaurant is the place for you to head towards. This plush restaurant is located on the 24 Jungle Road, East Legon close to A n C mall. For such a rich and famous neighborhood you would expect their pricing to be outrageous. Right? Sorry to burst your bubble, their prices are budget friendly.
OMG! I almost forgot to talk about their customer service, A1. Looking through their menu, their stir-fry chicken noodles caught my eye because of its price.Guess what? It is just for 25 cedis. Yes you heard right! Moreover, you can never go wrong with noodles so why not?

The chicken bits was properly seasoned. The pepper and salt content was just of right consistency. This recipe got the perfect ratings of 10/10 from me. For me this combination is a perfect meal and I won’t mind having this everyday.

So when you find yourself in East Legon do pass by and share your experience.

NB:Prices are subject to change depending on the event and other factors.

Everything Rosy

Located in our hometown, Accra – Labone. A lush – plush garden opened right in the heart of Labone. Designed as a respite from the day-to-day life activities , a space created to experience in real life. Grab a bottle to drink amid lush greenery, personal tables, and large coolers of rosé.

Imagine being surrounded by everything pink – pink roses, pink décor, pink-colored cups, pink cocktails, etc. They even had cute pink finger food. This is what drew my attention to the Rosé Garden. Not only did I get drawn to this exceptional location because of its serene and instagramable appeal, I realized several people on my snapchat had posted pictures and videos of the place which attracted me to the experience.

The first thing I look out for when I go to restaurants is customer service and I was not one bit disappointed; the staff were pleasant and seated us within a few seconds of our arrival.

The first thing I did was go through the drinks menu as their cocktails highly rave.
I ordered a ‘Rosé Splash’ which is a Strawberry refresher with a splash of prosecco. I then ordered another menu fave the ‘coconut shrimp and pink puff puff’. The puff puff is pink on the inside and tasted really good.

Rosé Garden is the luxurious and perfect location to get in tune with life’s finest givings. I would love to go there again! And for people looking to have a great time in a serene environment with a high level of exclusivity, this is your ideal destination.

FUFU AND LIGHT SOUP

Fufu and light soup is one of Ghanaian’s favorite dishes.

Fufu is a starchy dough that takes on different forms and name across many West African countries. Food is good and healthy. Every food determines a particular clan in the world. However the name ‘fufu’ is most commonly associated with Ghana, specifically with the Akan ethnic group in the Eastern and Ashanti region of Ghana.

Ghanaian fufu is commonly made by cooking cassava and unripe plantains together which is later pounded together into a paste and then molded by hand into a ball shape and served with a special sauce/soup.

It is made by beating a blend of bubbled cassava and plantains into a mix in a mortar. As the fufu paste is pounded, it is also skillfully rotated by another person who makes sure to sprinkle water and pour on the paste to reduce sticking and keep it fresh.

Fufu is mostly pounded on Sunday afternoons as some families make it a tradition to eat fufu on Sundays and is enjoyed by individuals, friends and families together.
