Rice is one of the most commonly consumed foods in the world. Rice is universal , rice is versatile, rice is substantial and easy to prepare making it a very perfect staple in every kitchen. Whether its operated into a main dish , served as a side dish or dessert, rice has the power to do all for you while providing comfort and satiety. Rice is characterized into two forms. We have the long grain rice and medium grain rice also called the short grain rice. Brethren , you may ask yourself what is the actual difference between the long grain and the medium grain rice. The difference between the two are the length and shape and most importantly the taste. Simply speaking long grain rice has a beauty in layout and texture where as medium grain has a shorter and its much moist . The long grain rice looks more seperated when cooked well but the short grain rice stick together

Planning a date or a dinner in Accra isn’t a difficult thing at all. Trust me it’s the least thing you should worry about when you want to surprise your date, family or friends.
The next thing I know you would think about is “isn’t it expensive?” the hard truth is Accra is expensive! But the memories and moments you share with the people you love is worth the last penny in your pocket!
Walking into one of the most popular, and beautiful Turkish restaurant at Labone really sends a chill to the bone.

Capitol just has an exquisite atmosphere that makes every second there so memorable and enjoyable. The ambiance is stupendous. The décor was astonishing and it is really important to me because my pictures are a priority too.

It was my first time there and we had to dine together to celebrate the birthdays of my three close friends.

By now a lot of you are calling me foodie. Man shall not live by bread alone but ‘Chale’, food is important, and food at Capitol tastes awesomely palatable. Not more than my Grandma’s though.

I had the opportunity to try a bit of everything, but I highly recommend the shredded chicken with curry sauce accompanied with fried rice, in case it is not a buffet. It is not so spicy, a bit creamy and rich in flavor. The aroma alone makes you salivate and the meat is so tender. Very satisfying.
Talk of the staff! We were lucky to be served by a handsome and funny waiter who was very forbearing with us. Please don’t forget the tip!

Capitol gave us the opportunity to make a memorable moment. We had so much fun as we all lifted our glasses high to toast, and say cheers to a new age, long life and success.

Please stay home and stay safe. if you’re hungry, call Capitol and food would be delivered to your door step.

The video says it all! and I hope you enjoy it! PHOTO CREDIT; capitol@instagram.com. https://goo.gl/maps/rWC32Qxaie2GjDSv6

What’s your style? Continental, Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal, Asian, American or Buffet?

I eat from every plate 😂. A group of friends and I decided to take a night out and have dinner with some good company at a calm yet elegant place. We did not regret the choice we made in selecting the Ibis Styles hotel restaurant.

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the simple yet spacious and welcoming atmosphere and decor, not to mention the pleasant aura surrounding the staff stationed at the reception.

The cozy meal area offers you the atmosphere to have that relaxing time with your friends, family or significant other.
We went in a group of 14 people, each paying Gh¢100.00 for the buffet service . And I can’t stress enough how full I was from starter to main meal.

Seeing all this food made it almost impossible to figure out what I wanted to eat. But I finally did it and I must say, I would gladly have packed up a doggie bag(take away) for my midnight/early morning hunger games but I was being extra ladylike(if there is such a thing).

I almost skipped desert but thankfully, I piled my plate high with slices of cheese cake, chocolate cake and two helpings of cream caramel. (I love my desserts 🤷🏽♀️)

The hallway leading up to the pool after a short elevator ride is one to leave you feeling giddy with excitement. At least that’s how we felt. Maybe we’d had too much wine.
PS: Drinks are not covered by the initial 100.00 paid. (Prices are however subject to change so be sure to carry a little extra cash)

Ghana definitely has a variety of restaurants constantly expanding from local cuisines to international ones but always covering a wide range of it’s citizens and visitors taste buds, yup and one of the most beautiful restaurants we have is the SOHO RESTAURANT and SUSHI BAR. Now for those of y’all who haven’t been there, this is one of the perfect tryouts and I’ll be excited to let you in on a few things that will definitely convince you to check it out. Trust me I loved it and I know you will too 🇬🇭

When you think SOHO, the following comes to mind: “CUISINE EXCELLENCE”, “A FULLY LOADED BAR WITH CHARACTER”, “CREATIVE MUSIC” and a “CRISP DINING SETTING” Now you get what I’m talking about? Awesome.

The SOHO restaurant and bar is located at the Marina mall, Airport City Accra situated on top of the Yasmina lebanese cuisine restaurant. It’s open all day each week for people who want to celebrate, dine and enjoy the nightlife of Accra. SOHO has an aesthetic and cozy ambiance with a spacious area which is suitable for a perfect weekend treat with family and friends.
Oh and how could I forget! As well as for romantic dinners, so if you’re planning a suprise dinner or you just want to give your love a pretty amazing experience maybe you should try SOHO…..just saying “lol”.
It’s perfect for business and executive lunches too! Welcome to one of the best spots in Accra to relax and enjoy yourself baby.

SOHO provides a range of dishes on their menu from various international dishes and sweets with Sushi and Sashimi being the most prominent. From a range of different salads such as the chicken caesar salad which is really good, I had it when I went there and I enjoyed it, it’s incredibly healthy and it tastes good! They serve cold and hot appetizers, seafood stirfry, pizzas, great cocktails and even our very own Ghanaian jollof. Hallelujah!
SOHO’s food menu consists of
Starters, main courses,( ranging from Ghc30 to Ghc100) , the japanese corner( for those of you who love asian cuisines this is your lucky day). Ura maki which is a type of sushi roll that is so good. Firstly, lets get the sushi out of the way, it’s good. I love sushi so I know when it’s good and they make good sushi. And they look so pretty( so for sushi lovers, you would be excited!)

They offer a variety of starters from dumplings to shrimp to calamari, you’ve got it.

We all have a sweet tooth and we definitely are free to use it, wisely though and let me tell you, they have desserts as well. They have the devil’s food cake on their dessert menu which is a richer, darker version of a chocolate cake but on the more healthier side with less sweetness. You know what? You have to try this… no seriously try it love.

SOHO is opened 24 hours each day. And is ready to service all your “relax and chill” needs as well as fueling you up for an exciting time. Special and private functions and events can be arranged for other day time hours.
Reservations can also be made to book tables and these reservations can be made online through their website: http://www.sohoghana.com where you can fill out a reservation form.

This amazing restaurant and Bar also gives you a time to party love with particular EVENTS that happen every Friday called the ENTOURAGE Fridays that starts at 6pm at the soho-havana bar
And the Latin HAVANA which starts at 4pm every Sunday. Now you’ll have to go there and see it for yourself hunny. And oh don’t worry they do play music from time to time on regular days just so you have something to bump your head to.

Well, as you can see these are snippets of the SOHO BAR experience which I wish y’all could have. The environment is just soothing, literally. It’s great for hanging out with friends and just having a good time! We all deserve that. They have an amazing staff with excellent customer service c’mon y’all what else is needed?
If you are interested in more information you can definitely look up SOHO on google and try their website as well: http://www.sohoghana.com

Okay guys did I convince y’all? I did huh? Trying to be positive here “lol”. Well, live happily and don’t forget to try SOHO, they are waiting to treat you right! You’ll love it, I promise. XOXO

Whenever you find yourself on the Aflao road you should make a stop at Basilissa, Tema Community 25. Basilissa is a place you should drive through and dine after a long journey. Open every day from 8am to 11pm.
My experience wasn’t one that I had to stop by but rather had to enjoy a day out with my girlfriends. School gets boring on the weekend, so my girls and I decided to step out. Instead of going all the way to Accra we went to Tema Community 25, Basilissa.
The atmosphere was really amazing and casual. The interior décor of the place is amazingly quite simple and futuristic. Hence, we decided to dine inside.
They have varieties of continental dishes and even though it wasn’t my first time eating there, their shawarma was just worth dying for.

We decided to try something new on the menu. We went in for the all seasoned pocket pizza. Which was 95gh. OMG that pizza was everything! Talk of the sea food, spicy chicken and beef, not forgetting the cheesy effect, melts in your mouth with lots of flavour. We were so satisfied after sharing the large size pocket pizza. We washed it down with freshly squeezed fruit splash that was so refreshing.

Their prices are not outrageous and trust me, it’s worth it. Splitting the bill made it so convenient for students like us.
After dining, we played our favorite game we took along, UNO. We took pictures and videos, talked more and laughed a lot. We had an amazing time.

I highly recommend Basilissa if you want to spend quality time with your significant other, family, friends and children would also love it there. If you live and mostly commute around Tema, Ashiaman or Prampram you don’t need to go all the way to Accra to chill. There are other branches at Accra mall, Achimota mall, Dansoman and Afienya.

Don’t forget the waiter/waitress’ tip. They’re so patient and fun.

I was in desperate need of getting my nails done(both manicure and pedicure) so i decided to give this fairly new nail studio and beauty lounge on the Spintex road a try.
I entered Studio 7 wondering what my nails would look like. Little did I know, my nails would sparkle in the afternoon sun as I walked out of the studio.

“Why hadn’t I come here earlier?” I whispered to myself.
First of all i was greeted by a member of staff and was given service right away. Their chairs are super comfortable, but the icing on the cake is the service. The ambiance was befitting and curated to fit the experience.

They have vast options from gel, acrylic, manicure, pedicure. And even with the pedicure there’s a variety to choose from; I chose the lavender and jojoba pedicure and my feet felt very good and pampered. They have a spa as well which I did not have enough time to try but so far everyone I have interacted with concerning their spa treatments and facials have given very positive feedback.
The pricing was moderate. Studio7 seems to thrive on the provision of high quality services such as great customer service, free snacks and free beverages. The staff were accommodating, and took pride in the services they provide to ensure customers are 100% happy. The place is amazing!
Studio 7 has two branches; one in Dzorwulu and the other at the community 11 plaza (formerly on the Spintex Road) . So for those who can’t come all the way to Accra you’re covered and for those visiting Ghana for the first time with accomodation in Accra, you’re also covered. Don’t forget Self-love is very important so make time and give yourself a treat.

THE GOOD BAKER
Out of boredom,I was taking a stroll on the Spintex road and my wandering eyes got fixed on a building right next to Palma hotel(previously Paloma hotel)and opposite ICGC Calvary Temple on the Community 18 road. In this “Rona” scare , I was bored out of my mind so decided to get some fresh air and peace of mind. The ambience of this place is very soothing and suitable for breakfast, brunch, group discussions amongst many others.

Initially confused on what to get, my indecisive self finally settled on a slice of moka cake and cheesecake. The moka cake was really moist on the inside, not too sweet and I could taste an itty bittiness of dark chocolate. Mmmm?( I’m sure you’re trying to imagine the taste) . Nonetheless, the cheesecake was not really a favourite because of the topping (raspberry) but the crust was properly baked. Generally not a fan of cheesecake but it was fairly good.
With as low as 8 cedis you can get yourself a slice of cake. Great news right? Their customer service was so welcoming, and cordial. I’ve found a new favorite and I’d recommend any day and anytime. Just as the name suggests, “The Good Baker” is worth its name.
